New CEO for Wilber Bank
Oneonta, N.Y. – The Board of directors of Wilber National Bank, a unit of Wilber Corp., approved the appointment of James Mack to temporarily serve as President and CEO of the bank, effective Nov. 22, following OCC approval. Mack replaces Alfred Whittet, who held the same positions from Aug. 27 until his resignation Nov. 22, according to a Form 8-K filed Nov. 24. Douglas Gulotty resigned as president and CEO of Wilber Corp. and Wilber National Bank on Aug. 2.
Mack will serve until the completion of the pending merger of the company with De Witt, N.Y.-based Community Bank System Inc. Mack has more than 32 years of banking experience, including a stint as senior vice president of Riggs Bank NA in 2005.
